The Certified Medical Assistant will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient service while supporting healthcare providers with clinical and administrative tasks.
Duties:
- Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms.
- Measure and record vital signs accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Support physicians and nurses with medication administration, injections, and basic life support when necessary.
- Operate and maintain EHR systems to ensure precise documentation of patient information.
- Assist with ICD coding for billing and record-keeping purposes.
- Provide exemplary patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas in compliance with safety standards.
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
- Experience in dermatology or medical-surgical units is a plus.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to care delivery.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and effective teamwork.
- Ability to multitask is recommended.
